Explaining Behavior 10.5: Exercises and Materials
Applying theories, using paradigms, and judging validity
I’m a big believer in having students actively apply course ideas. Applications range from simply recognizing and classifying examples to more complex analysis and evaluation. In my theory classes, I also like to give them some overview of the empirical status of the theories we’ve covered — Has anyone tested them? Was the evidence supportive?
Here’s a sampling of exercises and resources I use to teach the material I’ve covered in posts on “Opportunity Theory” and “Rational Choice Theory.”
While the main installments of the Explaining Behavior series are free for all, these teaching and supplementary materials are for paid subscribers only.
